We are starting to see more measles in New Zealand. It is a serious and highly contagious disease.
As people’s immunity to measles is very low, we are at high risk of an outbreak.
The best protection against measles is the free measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine.

If you have symptoms:

Call Healthline on 0800 611 116 for advice
You are already protected against measles if you:
Had 2 doses of the MMR vaccine or
Have had measles before or
Were born before 1969

The Medical Centre is one of the longest serving establishments in the village, which also houses a pharmacy, and a range of other retail outlets and cafes.
The village has grown with the general population growth on the Coast and is now a compact, attractive and convenient shopping and leisure destination. There is plenty of parking around the Medical Centre including underground parking with a lift, which is centrally located in the village.

Please advise us if you have respiratory symptoms. Having respiratory symptoms does not mean we can’t see you, but we do need to be aware of this in order to take appropriate precautions. For yours and other people’s safety you will be seen out in the cabin.

Online bookings can only be made with your usual Doctor. If your GP is fully booked online, please phone the surgery for an appointment.
Please note the online booking system is not suitable for booking minor surgery, immunisations, dressings or insurance medicals. Please ring the surgery on 09 424 9050 for these appointments.
Patients that fail to attend their appointment may be charged for the consult.
