Manly Medical Centre is a long-established and growing family-focused medical practice
Our practice maximises the use of funded programmes and health promotion activities to help improve the health of our patients.
Our practice is a member of the Primary Health Organisation known as ProCare Networks Limited.
Enrolling with our practice:
When you visit our practice for the first time you will be asked if you wish to enrol. Enrolling means you are registering with one of our doctors as your preferred healthcare provider. You can change to another practice at any time. Information brochures about enrolment are available, and we are happy to help you if you have any questions.
When Manly Medical Centre is closed our patients can receive health care and advice from the following providers:
Homecare Medical. For medical care after hours please call our usual phone line to be redirected to a 24 hour nurse triage service
After hours, our patients can receive urgent medical and accident treatment from:
Shorecare Urgent Care, Northcare Accident & Medical or CareHQ
The nearest Emergency Department is at North Shore Hospital, Lake Road, Takapuna
In a life-threatening emergency, call 111 for an ambulance immediately
If several enrolled family members are unwell you will need to book an appointment for each person to ensure sufficient time with the Doctor.
Standard appointment times:
15 minutes - if you need longer than 15 minutes, we request that you book a 30 minute appointment or a return visit, which will incur an extra fee.
Insurance medicals:
Require a minimum of 30 minute appointments. For any other specific appointments, please speak to our receptionist/nurses.
ACC:
The NZ Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) provides no-fault personal injury cover for all New Zealand residents and visitors. This insurance cover is comprehensive but does not meet the full costs of primary injury management so an ACC surcharge applies. For more information click here.
Repeat prescriptions:
Allow 48 hours for repeat prescription requests. You will be required to see your doctor regularly to review your health, and ensure your conditions are improving.
Prescriptions required the same day will incur an extra charge.
Casual patients: Manly Medical Centre does not see patients on a casual basis.
